Update 06.04.2024. We are now shipping kits with the MicroMold 8'6" bogie and a centre bolster to allow easy fitting to the Kirk floor. Until we can rewrite the instructions an addendum sheet has been included for the assembly instructions for the bogie. In case we have missed the inclusion of this sheet, we have included a link for download here.
Update. 14th Oct 2023. We are still working through the tooling to fit them to our machines and to sort out problems caused by PD. The biggest current problem is with the 8'6" Gresley bogie. PD had done a complete number on this tool and suffice to say that it is totally shot. We are working on a mould tool to produce a new centre bolster for our MicroMold Gresley bogie to allow it to be used with the Kirk kits. This should be available soon.
As of Saturday 17th December 2022, Phoenix Precision Paints Ltd. now own the tooling and the rights to the 4mm (OO gauge) Kirk and Mailcoach LNER kits and the GWR Monster.
We have now started to upload products to this section, with all items set to 'out of stock'. If a product has been uploaded, we have the tooling to produce it.
We also collected a lot of stock, However, as far as we can (currently) tell, no complete kits.
As we catalogue this stock, and mould parts to complete each kit, we will update each coach or set to allow the purchase of said kits.
We will be working to get these into production as soon as possible, however, it is likely to be at least 3 - 6 months before any completely new production becomes available.
We have now started to mould some parts and we are doing our best to produce flash free mouldings, however, due to in part the age of the tooling, and the fact that Paul Dunn totally lacked any moulding knowledge there will be a certain amount of flash. We would like to apologise for this.
