A. Supplied with the Group Standard 4200 gallon Low Front Tender.This version will only build Nº 61671.

Nº 61671 was rebuilt from B17 Nº 2871 'Manchester City' in August 1945. It was renumbered 1671 in February 1946 and then renamed 'Royal Sovereign' in April 1946.

B. Supplied with the ex P1 4700 gallon Tender. This version will only build Nº's 61615 and 61632.

Nº 61615 was rebuilt from B17 Nº 2815 'Culford Hall' in April 1946. It was renumbered 1615 in December 1946.
Nº 61632 was rebuilt from B17 Nº 1632 'Belvoir Castle' in July 1946.

C. Supplied with a ex N.E.R. 4125 gallon Tender. This version will build the remaining seven locomotives in the class

Technical Specifications

Scale: 7mm:ft 'O' Gauge Etched Brass Kit with a Nickel Silver chassis and Brass and Whitemetal Castings

Requires Wheels, Motor and Gears. Solder, Paint and Transfers.

We recommend the use of either Carr's Model Products or Churchward models solders and Pre Paint Cleaners, Etch Primers and Paints from Phoenix Precision Paints Ltd

Etches MAY have sharp edges. Castings MAY contain lead.
Care should be taken when handling as we can not accept responsibility for damage to persons or property or illness caused by handling either etches or whitemetal castings.

Black As supplied, a high quality synthetic (oil based) brushing enamel paint.

Stir thoroughly with a spatula (lollipop stick, wooden coffee stirer etc.) for a minimum of 5-10 minutes, or a power stirer. Ensure that you get into the bottom corners of the can and bring any sediment to the surface and stir in.

May be thined, if required, for brushing using PQ8 General Purpose Thinners.

For spraying, thin to approximately 80% paint:20% PQ9 Quick Air Drying Thinners and spray from between 75 - 100mm (3-4 inches) at a pressure of about 2 bar (30 p.s.i.).

Matt colours may require more thinning.

This product is best brushed or sprayed at a temperature of below 10° Centigrade ( 50°F). and left for a Minimum of 24 - 48 hours to dry before any overcoating or further actions are taken.

Apply over the top of a properly primed surface.

L.N.E.R. Loco' Green (Darlington Shade)

London & North Eastern Railway Locomotive Green (Darlington Shade). This is the shade adopted by Darlington works. It is believed that this shade is as close to the old North Eastern Railway green that Darlington could get without upsetting Gresley too much.

LNER Green locomotives were lined with a white/black/white configuration.
