Since introducing our popular 7mm scale flatbottom rail sections, we have received frequent requests from customers wishing to model live rail electrified lines, all asking for accurate 7mm scale conductor rail. This posed something of a problem because, historically, 3rd & 4th rail systems have used a number of differing conductor rail sections, and it simply wasn't practical or economic to do more than one size. After much deliberation and careful design, we have produced a section which represents as closely as possible the most commonly used rails of 100lb, 106lb and 150lb/yard although it should be recognised that it is a little undersize for 150lb rail. Most importantly, we have been able to accurately replicate the distinctive wide head and foot forms which are such a striking visual feature of this type of rail.
