Matting Agent. May be added to gloss enamels in varying proportions to produce any finish from semi-gloss to matt.

Add to Gloss enamel in the following proportions to achieve Semi-Gloss, Eggshell, Semi-matt and Matt finishes.

Mix in the following ratios of Enamel to Matting Agent :-

Semi-Gloss (3 : 1)

Eggshell (2 : 1)

Semi-Matt (7 : 4)

Matt (3 : 2)

These proportions may require some variation to achieve the finish you require.

DO NOT add to varnish. To reduce the finish of gloss varnish add small quantities of either satin or matt varnish untill the required finish is obtained.

As supplied, a high quality synthetic (oil based) brushing enamel Matting Agent.

Stir thoroughly with a spatula (lollipop stick, wooden coffee stirer etc.) for a minimum of 5-10 minutes, or a power stirer. Ensure that you get into the bottom corners of the can and bring any sediment to the surface and stir in.
