The Finishing Touch

A number of books have been written over the years, about the painting of models. Some have been better than others, but all have left many questions unanswered for modellers. This is probably due to the very narrow fields they have tried to cover. Or alternatively, the technical knowledge has not been available to the author. In some cases, publications have raised more questions than they have managed to answer. This is the third edition of The Finishing Touch, and it sets out to answer the questions raised by modellers in an 'untechnical' language as possible. The first edition was written with little thought of how easy the book would be to read, the second was updated with a more readable format. Since it's introduction, many thousands of copies have been purchased by modellers. Comments and criticisms have filtered back, and it is hoped that this much more expanded and reformatted book will make the publication a much more usable manual. It also attempts to provide additional information on 'how to do it', by taking the reader through the various stages and processes in painting a model. The text covers both model engineering subjects and plastic kit builders problems. Brush, spray and aerosol applications are covered, to enable even a beginner to obtain a reasonably good finish within quite a short time.

This book is a MUST for any serious modeller
