Bob Moore Lining Pens
The Bob Moore's Master Lining Pen evolved from the need to be able to line a model more easily than with a brush or bowpen, as these methods, in the hands of an amateur, did not give consistant results. After some trials a pen was developed which would do the required job. This was tried out by a number of modellers, who had no previous experience of lining, with excellent results.
The lining pen comes in a package consisting of the pen handle with a ball jointed head, the pen head which incorporates a small reservoir for the paint (one spot of paint will produce 30" to 60" of line). There are also 2 small guides for following edges of spokes or plateswhich have to be lined. Also included is a test plate which has been lines using the actual pen head included in the set. Each pen is individually tested before it is packed.
There are 3 sizes of pen head: a Fine Head which produces a line approximately 0.008" (0.2mm) wide. A Standard Head which will produce a line approximately 0.012" (0.34mm) wide and a Standard Plus Head which will produce a line approximately 0.020" (0.5mm) wide.
