Update 02.09.06
All prices on this site have been updated to show the new prices effective from the 4th September 2006. This is the first general price increase since the 7th October 2003.
Update 18.08.06
As of the end of July things were almost back to normal, then on the morning of Tuesday 1st August I was admitted to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford to have my appendix removed (after 18 months of abdominal problems and 12 hours in A & E), this will mean that we may be a little bit behind as we go into September and the start of the model railway season.
Current lead times are normally 2 - 3 working days .
Now for the bad news, unfortunately owing to increases in the cost of all our raw materials prices will be increasing by approximately 10% with effect from Monday 3rd September 2006. This will affect all paint products, thinners, solvents, brushes and painting handles.
Postage charges.
With effect from the 21st August 2006 the Royal Mail is changing the way that UK Inland postal charges are calculated, this will mean that none of our products will now fall into the 'letters' category, ALL transfers and data sheets will be ‘large letter’ and all other products will be ‘packet’. This will mean some changes in the P & P pricing structure – full details can be found under “ordering information”.
Update 16.11.05
We have moved and production has restarted, however with something like 400 colours in the range it will take another nine months, at least, until the stock levels are where they were prior to the 12th July. We are able to take orders again, on 01268 730549, but please be aware that current dispatch lead time is between 10 days and two weeks. Many of the colours are only getting returned to the range whan an order is received.
Please bear with us we are getting there.
Update 25.07.05
Owing to the structural damage to the next door unit and the fact that the roof of our unit will need to be removed to repair such damage, the Insurers have given us permission to move into another unit. In terms of gettting back into production this move will help us because everything will be removed from our current unit, cleaned and then delivered to the new unit ready to start work.
This move will not change our postal address but will almost certainly change our phone number. As soon as we know for certain details will be posted to this site, adverts will be changed and a press release will be issued to the magazines.
12.07.05
Due to circumstances beyond our control (a fire in the next door unit in the early hours of the 12th July) all of our stock has been smoke damaged.
In order to maintain our high standards as the leading brand of model paints we are neither in a position, or willing to sell sub-standard products.
We have therefore decided to close for a period of time in order that new stock can be produced.
We realise that this will inconvenience some of our customers but we hope that you will understand our situation.
It is our aim to be back in production before the start of the Model Railway season in September.
kind regards
Chris Stapleton 13th July 2005
